Andrew Shapiro

Managing Director

Andy Shapiro heads the firm's location advisory practice from its San Francisco Bay Area office, helping clients translate their business objectives and strategic vision into rational, balanced location decisions. His primary responsibilities include site selection, feasibility economic impact analysis and market analysis.

Andy has been with the firm since 2001. Prior to joining Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Co., he spent a decade with the Fantus Company, Moran Stahl & Boyer and Deloitte & Touche. He also managed the permitting and public approval activities of Public Storage in New England and Florida. Prior to that, he was a Marketing Manager with the Fairfax County (VA) Economic Development Corporation and a Planner with the Fairfax County Office of Comprehensive Planning.

Andy Shapiro earned a B.A and a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the George Washington University. He is a member of CoreNet Global, The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Site Selectors Guild. Andy has written and spoken extensively on location strategies.
