Carissa Foley is a GIS and Site Selection Consultant at Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Company (BLS & Co.), providing advanced GIS-based analytics, mapping and customized research in support of site selection consulting projects to clients across the country.
With a deep background in site selection analytics, data integrations, GIS solutions and research capabilities, Carissa has excelled in cultivating client relationships and delivering technical expertise. Her portfolio includes directorial roles in research and marketing, alongside the successful completion of diverse projects such as creating economic development-focused GIS applications, architecting interactive community profiles utilizing ArcGIS StoryMaps, and harnessing data analytics to help clients make more informed site selection decisions. Prior to her role at BLS& Co., Carissa served as manager of GIS solutions and support at Sidwell and director of research and marketing at Juniper Solutions, a real estate and site selection consulting company, where she played key roles in strategic partnerships, data evaluation, and product design. Her contributions were instrumental in designing viable products that significantly benefited clients.
Carissa holds a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Akron and is an Ohio Certified Economic Developer (OhioCED). She was the recipient of an Esri Special Achievements in GIS (SAG) Award by Esri in 2018 and was named a top 25 Under 35 Young Professional in Northeast Ohio by the Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club in 2020.
