Michelle Comerford has been elected as the new chair of the Site Selectors Guild, the only association of the world’s foremost professional site selection consultants. A project director and industrial & supply chain practice lead at Princeton-based Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Co. (BLS & Co.), one of the largest specialty site selection and incentives advisory consulting firms in North America, Comerford most recently served as the Guild’s vice chair and has been a member of the organization for 14 years.
“This new term marks a significant step in the continued evolution and advancement of the Site Selectors Guild as we celebrate its 15th anniversary,” said Carrie Kelly, managing director of the guild. “Our focus remains steadfast on supporting economic development professionals and raising awareness among corporate executives about the critical role of site selection while we continue to serve communities worldwide.”
Comerford has more than 22 years of site selection and economic development experience. In her current role at BLS & Co., she guides companies in expansion and investment decisions, specifically in manufacturing and distribution sectors. During her tenure, Michelle has directed clients in evaluating supply chain logistics, location strategy, and community/site alternatives, as well as property due diligence, property acquisition, and other aspects of project implementation.

Board members are elected for a staggered two-year term and work in close alignment with the Guild’s managing director to innovate and execute the organization’s vision.
